Message from the President
Dear friends,
It gives me great pleasure to inform you that our Center has recently received a number of major gifts. It proves that the projects that CHW supports are of much importance to many members in our community. A hearty Todah Rabbah !
Our solidarity with the State Of Israel IS CRUCIAL. It is our mission to help deliver the best possible services to the most vulnerable sectors in Israeli society. CHW is vital to building a successful Jewish state whereby Israelis can live with basic necessities of life...health, dignity and hope. WIZO and the hospitals have open doors to all citizens, including Arab Israelis (Haifa AND Acco), Bedouins (Women's Centre), Druze and Cirassian people. One in eight families in Israel benefit from WIZO which runs a budget of one hundred million dollars. WIZO is also one of the largest employers in Israel and it assists in advancing the status of women in Israel. We, the donors, supporters and volunteers in Calgary are part of the link between the State and World Jewry. The funds that we raise here support absorption of new immigrants. We are also proud that WIZO has the largest Pedagogic Centre for early childhood.
"Circle Of Hope - It starts with you!" is the motto for our Annual Campaign which begins in March. Our commitment and dedication to all our projects continues, so please give generously. The Jersey Boys performance with PREFERRED BOOKING for CHW is a must! This exciting Broadway show is available for our supporters on July 3, so please consider joining us in this exciting evening! There will be a special 'after show' reception with the cast and it will give us another opportunity to raise funds for our projects in Israel and Calgary. Your support will ensure a bright future for all our women children and hospitals is always appreciated.
