Welcome to the CHW National website! Thank you to all of our donors, members, friends, and community partners who continue to support CHW - - a formidable organization that for 95 years has supported desperately needed programs and projects for Children, Healthcare and Women in Israel.

In November 2011, at the CHW 40th National Convention, I was elected as CHW's 21st National President. Over the next three years, my aim is to continue to build and refine many of the new initiatives introduced during the previous administration; while continuing to highlight CHW's vision and commitment to Children, Healthcare and Women's programs in Israel. With the new CHW constitution now passed, the current administration will continue to focus on modernizing CHW's governance structure while increasing its efficiency; a revised strategic plan will be presented in the months to come.

In January 2012, CHW members will be joining others from coast to coast on the CHW Mission to Israel. On this exciting trip, they will explore Jerusalem's many sites, admire Tel Aviv's Bauhaus architecture and tour the beautiful Israeli desert before relaxing to the sounds of the sea. The highlight of the Mission will be visiting 6 CHW projects throughout Israel. Be sure to find out what the Mission participants are up to through updates on the National facebook page.

Our Centres and chapters across Canada continue to hold spectacular events in support of CHW. The CHW Montreal Art Auction was held on October 18th at Espace Reunion with a crowd of 200 people enjoying a delicious cocktail dinatoire and auction. The evening was a huge success raising over $90,000! See photos from the event here.

Recently, CHW Vancouver held their "Style With A Smile" Fashion Show, November 9, at the Richmond Country Club. The evening's glamorous fashions were provided by Wear Else, and were modelled by CHW members, their children and grandchildren.

Finally, CHW Toronto held an exciting event, called MIND POWER: An Evening with Mentalist Sidney Friedman. Over 550 tickets were sold for the event held at The Park Events and Conference Centre on November 30th. CHW Toronto is thrilled to report that they were able to raise over $30,000 at this wonderful and incredibly successful event, which will support CHW projects in Israel.
