After School Clubs
CHW contributes annually to World WIZO, which runs 54 After School Clubs serving over 20,000 students throughout Israel. After the school day concludes, these clubs offer educational programs, recreational activities, and hot meals to Israel's youth. Many students who visit these clubs come from unstable home environments. Programs include sports, music and art, offered free of charge for those who cannot afford to pay.
Life Skills classes offered at the Youth Clubs include "Healthy Relationships" and "Drug and Alcohol Awareness" whereas academic courses offered include Hebrew, English, Computer, Math, and Science. For those students who need additional support, or have special needs, one-on-one tutoring and individual therapy are available.
