About Women

CHW, the largest Jewish Women's organization in Canada, recognizes the impact of women's philanthropy. Thousands of CHW members and volunteers are Canada's leading advocates for women's rights and issues. CHW strengthens all aspects of women's lives, focusing on personal safety, health and child care needs at its women's shelters, crisis hotlines and daycares.

Despite numerous efforts to curb domestic violence, it continues to be a sad reality of our modern society. Women and children are often in great danger in the place where they should feel safest; within their homes. The abuse is difficult to escape and still prevalent in every corner of the world. For the many women who fall into the clutches of domestic violence, it is often impossible for them to imagine a way out. Through your support of CHW, together, we can provide opportunities for countless women and children - so that they can change lives affected by tragedy, into lives with second chances - ensuring that they have a safe place to turn.
