Thank you for your tremendous generosity and support of Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) this past year. Your investment in your organization has made it possible for educators, doctors and support workers to provide essential care and support to children, students, women and families who benefit from CHW projects. Your gifts have made this happen.
As CHW National Treasurer, I am pleased to present the 2010-2011 CHW Annual Donor Report, which reflects the dedicated efforts of our National President, Marla Dan, the CHW Finance Committee, and the CHW senior management team.
Looking back at this past year, we are proud of how much we have accomplished together. Last year, 442 children received enriched childcare, including nutritious meals at our six daycare centres; 4,300 students received quality education through CHW's four schools; 80 students had safe transportation to school through the Transportation Program at CHW Netanya Technological High School, and we funded 20 students who participated in the annual March of the Living program to Poland; 256 babies were welcomed into the world by new families after successful in-vitro fertilization treatments at the new CHW Fertility Unit at the Hadassah Hospital; a new digital mammography machine at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center provided over 12,000 women with pain-free mammographies, a feat that women world-wide can appreciate; and 80 women and their children found safe haven at World WIZO's shelters. These are but a few examples of what we have achieved and which would not have been possible without your support.
