Following the meeting, author and motivational speaker Carol Poduch will speak on the topic “Meditation for Life”. Please join us for an evening of discussion of common techniques for mindfulness based meditation. The health benefits of a regular meditation practice have been well defined with potential outcomes including the reduction of blood pressure, anxiety levels and depression. Meditation has numerous benefits when applied to situations of daily life as well. During this session we will learn some simple techniques that can assist in finding calmness when life gets busy. Carol will share some life experiences that led her to a lifelong meditation practice and offer a guided meditation.
Carol C. Poduch has run her own business for the past 10 years. She offers services in fitness, yoga, nutrition, meditation and Reiki. She has dedicated her life to helping others condition their mind, body and spirit. She has a B.Sc. in nutrition from Purdue University and has completed post graduate training at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a certified personal trainer and Reiki practitioner.
