About Healthcare
CHW sponsors state-of-the-art medicine and groundbreaking research at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. The Hadassah Medical Organization, the first and only in Israel to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, offers patients world-renowned treatment, diagnosis, and care, regardless of religious, ethnic, or national background. Hadassah Hospital embraces “Peace through Medicine” as a moral imperative.
As well, CHW is committed to healthcare through the support of the Shamir Medical Centre (Assaf Harofeh) in central Israel. The medical centre is the third largest government hospital in Israel, caring for over 500,000 patients annually.
During our Centennial year, CHW established a brand new partnership with Hadassah Academic College (HAC). The goal of this partnership is to support students studying at HAC through scholarships, and provide support for academic programs and projects. The new CHW Center for Clinical Training & Community Care will enhance the training of speech and language pathologists and audiologists, and the delivery of quality care to Jerusalem’s most at-risk children and adults, serving both Jews and Arabs. The new CHW Center represents a significant and concrete contribution to the advancement of medical education and clinical service in Jerusalem.
